Approved by the FDA in June 2006, Juvederm™ is a non-surgical, injectable gel used to restore the skin’s volume and provide correction of wrinkles and nasolabial folds. From the creators of Botox® Cosmetic, Juvederm™ is considered a “next generation” injectable; it is a dermal facial filler made of a smooth consistency gel that is composed of cross-linked hyaluronic acid.

Results

Juvederm™ has shown to maintain corrective results for an average of six months. Some patients have experienced a longer-lasting effect. Additional injections and touch-ups may be requested to achieve optimal correction. Because hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance, it will gradually absorb into the body.
